Artist Notes

Bowser is reinterpreted through a geometric language on the outer calf, at 22x18 cm and two sessions. The character original silhouette breaks down into angular planes, sharp edges and fields of colour that interrupt the rounded forms of the source design. The palette is built in layers to preserve saturation, supported by firm outlines that order each area before filling. The calf provides a vertical support that lets the figure unfold from top to bottom, following the muscle and using its volume to give body to the planes. The intention is to turn a recognisable icon into a graphic, contemporary piece, where geometry does not erase the likeness but translates it into a different visual idiom — harder and more structured, in keeping with the rest of the style.
