Butterflies, Heart and Stars

Artist Notes

Two small butterflies, a heart and four stars make up a fine-line piece measuring 8x10 cm on the right inner ankle, completed in two hours. The design works like a minimal constellation: the elements are spaced with air between them and linked visually by their scale and a single line weight. All the work rests on one fine liner needle, calibrated to leave a continuous, defined black on a thin area of skin. The composition adapts to the curve of the ankle, placing the larger pieces where there is more surface and reserving the stars for the spaces in between. The goal is a delicate, legible tattoo where the simplicity of the drawing holds the whole together and lets the piece age in an orderly way without losing its structure.
