The sinister clown occupies the outer thigh in a 24x20 cm piece developed over seven hours. The composition centres on the face and the crooked smile, with sunken eyes as the point of maximum tension. The chiaroscuro is very aggressive: large black masses build the sockets and folds, while reserved skin accents the flesh and teeth to force an immediate read. The vertical format lets the makeup and hair integrate with the shape of the thigh, adapting the features to the curvature without losing the expression. The piece avoids gratuitous detail and concentrates the work in the face, so the unsettling atmosphere comes from contrast rather than the accumulation of elements. The result is an intense, theatrical image that is hard to forget.
