Scarecrow

The scarecrow is rendered in dark art style on the outer thigh, at 22x18 cm and five hours of execution. The figure appears wrapped in a misty atmosphere that separates foreground from background: the face and hands keep sharp detail while the clothing and setting fray into soft gradients. That difference in focus creates the sense that the character emerges from the fog rather than being cut out against it. Placement on the thigh allows a comfortable scale for the volume of the scene and a good vertical path for the eye. The palette is limited to blacks and open skin, with transitions built from loose patterns so the mist never turns into flat grey. The result aims for an unsettling, cinematic presence.
